TMCs Abhishek Banerjee to embark on two-day Tripura tour discuss organisational issues

Banerjee to meet with victims of political violence that erupted during last month’s civil election

Trinamool National Congress Secretary General Abhishek Banjerjee will pay a two-day visit to the state from Sunday to discuss organizational issues ahead of the 2023 Assembly elections, a party member said.

Mr. Banerjee will meet with victims of political violence that erupted during last month’s civic elections and hold a meeting with members of the party’s steering committee, said Subal Bhowmik, convener of TMC’s State Steering Committee, in Agartala .

The ruling party of West Bengal would hold a “Raj Bhavan Abhiyan” on January 5 to push for a 15-point letter of demand, “with a focus on issues related to the common people,” he said.

Mr. Bhowmik added that TMC would celebrate the 24th Party Foundation Day on Saturday in every district, subdivision and block of Tripura.
