Our Journey

With a humble but credible and dedicated beginning in the Education and Academic Sector in the hill country, we have surpassed many milestones along which, we have been recognized with the awards viz ‘ The Education Brand of the Year’ by the global banking and finance review in the United Kingdom and  ‘ Three Star Award for Education ’ from the Ministry of Industries in Sri Lanka.

These awards are conferred through a stringent selection process by an independent panel of judges through an internally accepted procedure that is monitoring quality standards maintained by the institution over a period of time, peer reviews, student reviews etc. First Friends Campus was able to stand out to be selected for these awards.

We are also earmarked for more international awards in the coming years following our expansion and enhanced activities of the Campus. It is with this pride we held our last Graduating ceremonies in the years 2019 and 2020.

Our success

Apart from the dedication of our management team that functions as a family, we laid a solid foundation at the beginning with a vision to be reached and mission to be accomplished.

We initiated our voyage as a Montessori with Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) curriculum in January 2011 serving just 150 children in the city of Kandy. Having established a firm ground and our standing, we moved into the sphere of education and higher education in 2017 with the establishment of First Friends Campus.

We differentiated ourselves for the purpose of carrying a unique brand in the fields, specializing in Medicine, Engineering, Technology, Teacher Training and Hospitality. The advent of our brand thus made us the proud initiator in the entire central province as the one and only Campus offering all these disciplines within the single entity.

Our strengths emanated from the top class and reputed overseas affiliations. We are affiliated to University of Chichester UK, Lincoln University Malaysia, SDH Singapore, PSB Academy and ECU Australia. Our awarding bodies are OTHM, EDhat and Eplus.

In addition, we are the only accredited and licensed centre in Kandy to offer and transfer students to 86 reputed and world class colleges and universities in 23 countries across the world.

Excellence of our Programs

Among the programs we offer, one popular degree is the Bachelor of Psychology which provides a basic knowledge and skills required to understand the behavior of both individual and groups in the comprehension of mental health and understanding of the nature of human mind in given situations.  

The curriculum focuses on developing an understanding of key theoretical concepts and on practicing skills associated with the areas of assessment and counseling. Practical application of the knowledge and skills will be demonstrated in projects reflected at both the personal and professional level.

This qualification is becoming an essential profession in many countries as a demand to work with decision makers such as educationists, policy makers and community leaders.  

The course outlines training of students to incorporate and integrate comprehensive education in basic areas such as development and understanding of social, cognitive, biological and abnormal psychology among individuals. The program entails learning of relationship between the brain function and behavior including the processes that determine speech, create and memorizing or respond to stress.

Another program of excellence is the Diploma in Early Childhood Education with Montessori method of Education leading to Advanced Diploma and Bachelors of Education and Masters in Education Management. These qualifications make the students professionals as well as authority in the field, thus enabling them to develop instructional skills in a specific area of Education.

It is indeed another milestone that our institute has achieved for the year 2021.
