Dr Yaledegler C Maligaya has bagged Asia's Best Career Planning Platform Award

Yaledegler C. Maligaya was born in Mendez-Nunez, Cavite, Philippines on October 16, 1968. He is the eighth among the nine children of the late Petronio Maligaya Sr. and Teodorica De Castro.

From a young age, Dr. Maligaya was exposed to community services and serving God where he became an altar boy in the church. A religious person and a silent worker. He came from a poor family where his mother became widowed at an early age. He completed his studies as a working student. He served as a helper in the community by taking care of the children, senior citizens and doing household chores in different houses in the community to earn money for his studies.

EDUCATION

A consistent honor student from elementary to college years. After his high school, since his mother cannot afford to send them in school and cannot afford to pay the board and lodging, daily allowances, etc., he finished his undergraduate course for seven years in three different colleges and universities. After his graduation in college with the degree of Bachelor of Elementary Education at Don Severino Agricultural College (now Cavite State University), he pursued his Master’s degree in the same institution major in Secondary Education with specialization in Biological Science. He continued to enroll in Ph.D in Education and he completed the academic requirements. 2009 when he passed the Principal Examination. During that time in 2014, he was teaching in Graduate Program of Eulogio”Amang” Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology (EARIST) in Manila, Philippines, where he finished his Doctor of Education major in Educational Management in 2020.

WORK EXPERIENCES

After his college, he was employed as Science Teacher at Saint Augustine School from 1993-1996. In 1996, he served as Public School teacher until December 2014. In 2015-2017, he acted as OIC-Dean of School of Education at Emilio Aguinaldo College at the same time the Program Coordinator in BSED and BEEd Programs and Acting Principal of Senior High School on its first year of implementation. He served as Public Elementary School Principal for almost 16 years and a Division Coordinator in Educational Media (Campus Journalism), Filipino and Science subjects.

At present, he is serving as Public Schools District Supervisor at Schools Division Office of Muntinlupa City, Philippines from December 2017 to present where he already supervised 15 schools (elementary and secondary levels).

Outstanding Teacher in District II of Imus City and Municipality of Imus City, Philippines (2001-2002).

Outstanding Faculty Member in College of Education (2015).

Best School Paper Adviser/ Key Administrator in Campus Journalism (2009-2010).

K to 12 Program Coordinator- 2014 to present.

Principal Exam Reviewer- 2013 to present.

President, Public Schools District Supervisor in SDO Muntinlupa.

Asia Awards awarded by RULA Awards for Asia’s Education Awards for “Best Career Planning Platform Award”.
