I'm Dr. Jayan C Kuthanur, I was born in Kuthanur, an agricultural village in Kerala, the eighth in a common farming family.
Family consisting of father Chukkan, mother Chinna, four brothers and three sisters. My family, who depend on agriculture for their livelihood, are suffering from severe hunger and poverty. We struggled a lot for clothing and food.My uneducated parents taught us all well. In those days, people in our country used to buy their own children and send them to graze cows and work in the fields in the houses of the rich people in the country, but my parents taught us not to leave for such work even though we did not have food. So most of our family got government jobs and are living well today.Today my father and mother are no longer alive.
I have been active in the field of public works for 15 years as a renowned psychologist, writer, leadership trainer, social worker and politician in Kerala. My mother was a depressed patient. My father later sought refuge in alcohol. My birth was a great humiliation even for my siblings because I was born in old age, due to family poverty and maternal illness. Because I was old enough to be their son when I was born.My childhood was spent growing up without the love and care as a child. Later after PUC I left home due to poverty and wandered around Bangalore and later in Chennai and Coimbatore doing everything from tea shop to house painting work. However, I went to evening part time jobs and continued my studies.
I was determined to succeed in life and I wanted to be a role model for my well - educated people. When online classes became alien to the poor, TV was bought and given as a model for them.
I have been active in the field of social work against the Sahara Sant, a rock / mining monopoly company in Kuthanur, my hometown, and has faced death threats in the name of it. At homeplace, I have built two bus stops in the name of D R. Ambedkar and Sree Narayana Guru. I have established an organization called Grameena to bring people together, discuss and resolve their issues. An altar and seats were provided for the assembly. In addition, Nilav, an organization formed to promote the arts and sports tastes of local children, organizes arts fairs on the 1st of May every year.
I have been working hard to eradicate casteism by standing firm against the caste issues in the country. In my home place, Rs 10,000 is given by me at the yime of marriage of every destitute girl and Rs 5,000 for the first childbirth. In addition, the poorest people in my home place are given a car by me to go to the hospital even if they get sick, and in the hospital I will help them as much as I can. Many of the natives are employed and cared for under the Alvin Educational Trust.

Life is a mission. I firmly believe that I'm a part of a common society, and that each and every one of us is born into this world and must do every mission and duty for this world. I have been able to prove with my life that giving a drop of water to the weary and virtue cannot be found in a place of worship. My social work as an angel in the face of many crises and the prayers of the children and their families that I have taught and brought into the mainstream have often taken me by the hand. Similarly, It is my life that only education, knowledge and power as proved by the life of Dr BR Ambedkar can eradicate casteism in India. And the lesson I give to my generation.
