My name is Rinosha Begum, and I am from Sri Lanka. I am an entrepreneur, beautician, teacher, interpreter and a mother. I am a Bachelor of Arts degree holder from University of Peradeniya Sri Lanka and also a PGDE graduate from the open University of Sri Lanka.

My education comprises a vast array of education levels and fields relate to my career and business. Few to mention are, Study of Human Rights at University of Peradeniya, Business empowerment training, Diploma of Translation and interpretation, Bachelor of Arts at University of Peradeniya, Post graduate diploma of education, Accidental emergency risk & first aid of beauty salon industry, Professional Air brush makeup, Diploma in Hair dressing and Beauty Culture and Jawed Habib Academy Art-of-Makeup graduate from Mumbai India.

Although these achievements speak for itself, I am an outgoing, courageous and a determined person. On my early stages of business and career, I had to self-educate myself to compete in a fast-paced world.

I started my teaching career at Royal International School, Kegalle Sri Lanka as a primary school English teacher. Alongside I had private tuition for the children in my local area and held regular classes and activities in my home basement and garage. Before starting my Salon, I learnt a few stitching skills from my mother, and I started to stitch clothes from materials and sold it to the local community. But then I was determined to achieve more, and I was ready to upscale my talents.

I started my business 'Salon Rinoshas' 20 years ago in my village in a small scale. But since then, I have managed to build my brand in an international level of recognition and nation-wide salons. When I started my business, I had a few customers, a small shop and a few services. Since then, I moved to a city opened a shop and I started to adapt my business according to the pace of the world. At the beginning, we provided skin care, bridal dressing and makeup, dress customisation and few other personal cares. But I had the idea to bring all the major aspects of a wedding ceremony together and create one hotspot for everything. Since then, I started Rinoshas Flora and opened a new branch.

My business division where we provide customised settee backs according to the customers perforation, venue decoration and a wedding rental car service. My idea of a collective wedding service had become very successful but then I realised I had to bring in more diversity and choices. So, I started a business relationship with international stores and sellers in countries such as, Dubai, Thailand and India. Very soon I hope to connect with Australia for the modern western culture designs and blend it accordingly.

This is not just a business, but an Art. Or at least I think so. Because handling people and understanding their way and making it into a reality must be very precise and done with care. Afterall, a wedding is their most memorable day in life, and it must be perfect. Building a brand in a competitive environment is very tough, so I enhanced my skills through learning more and training more. I have achieved certificates such as Certificate of Professional Hairbrush Seminar, Dreamron Lanka certificate in Rebonding, Colour and facial, Certificate if accidental emergency risk management and first aid, certificate at Keune hair style & colour techniques workshop, certificates in beauty culture and many more. In 2022, I was awarded "Asia’s Outstanding Women Entrepreneur" award and "Asia’s Best Bridal Makeup Specialist" award by Asia Awards powered by World Research Congress.

This was a major step up in my career and a very grateful opportunity that has been presented to me. To seek this and spread a few words onto this world and fellow entrepreneurs, associate and collaborate with more people like myself and to learn further lessons from other people, I cannot be thankful enough. These achievements with a very hard work I managed to raise my business apart from my competitors. It is always important to value and appreciate customers. Sometimes it takes a lot of effort to put the perfect wedding plan together and execute them flawlessly. But at the end of the day, when I see customers happiness and their prayers towards me, that’s what keeps me motivated and humble which money can never pay.

Following my teaching career at Royal International School I joined Good Hope International School where I taught Language and Arts for secondary students but soon, I completed my degree and I was acknowledged for a position at a government school, Madeena M.M.V Sri Lanka. I enjoy teaching students and associating with them. I find this as a service more than a job. I am also the head of activities, and I had the opportunity to showcase student’s talents to the wider world and appreciate them. I trained students for student’s parliament, take in charge of sports meets and outbring each student’s individual talents.

I was awarded with Guru Prathibha Prabha in 2018 which is the most prestigious award a school teacher can achieve in my country. I was awarded the next year too consecutively. I was the only Muslim teacher to achieve the award twice consecutively. I also achieved Symposium on Education for Social Cohesion in 2019 and National Education for Social Cohesion (German Cooperation) in 2019. In 2014 I became a national interpreter and got elected to work at Sabaragamuwa provincial council as an interpreter.

I also because Justice of Peace (JP) in 2019 and I completed my PGDE (Post graduate diploma of Education) in 2021. Apart from my career and business, I also world very hard to give something back to the society and motivate the young mind to acknowledge them that they can do more. In 2022 I achieved the position as a President of Alliance Clubs International (AACI) which is one of the largest sustainable community development organisations in the world which further diversifies my ability to do good and empower communities.

I grew up in a family of 5 children and I was the second eldest. I still can feel how hard it was to spear through barriers of hardship and trauma, but I would sincerely ask everyone who listens to this, believe in yourself and trust the process. Everything will fall into the right places at the right time. Tomorrow if a girl decides to get up and start chase her dreams and run against the odds, that will fill my heart than all the money and fame I have earned. If you take a step to do something, and if your intentions are pure enough, God will be in support of you every step of the way.

Again, I am thankful towards Asia awards powered by World Research Congress, thankful to them for providing me this opportunity to speak towards a vast community and share a few words and thoughts of what I feel and how I made it all happen. Finally, I would like to thank my family who was supportive and loving every step of the way.
