Throughout his professional study Diploma in Hotel Management SHATEC Singapore, Akmal has received awarded Medal of Excellent Overall Best student. Best in F&B Management (Food & Beverage management and Kitchen Management) also Best in Room Division (Front office management and Housekeeping Management)
Akmal also was a Full member of MFBEA – Malaysian Food & Beverage executives Association since 2001 and FFIHM – Fellow Member of The Institute of Hospitality Management of Ireland Since 2013.
A seasons Malaysian Hotelier with more than 25 years experience, Akmal started his journey in Hospitality industry since he was 19 years old from low rank of waiter until what he achieves now. Starting with leading Hospitality group in Malaysia, he secured prominent position in world-class hospitality brands, including The Royal Brunei, HPL group, Byblos Hotels, Shangri- La Hotel group, The Datai. International and multicultural experience through working in 5 countries Brunei, UAE, KSA, Malaysia & Maldives. Has experience involved few Hotel/Resorts in pre-openings. Qualified with a thorough understand and extensive in high-end luxury Hospitality industry.
